Our Philosophy


Every Charles & Bower garment is produced with careful attention to detail, from the first stitch to the final finish. Through refined construction techniques and thoughtful finishing, each piece is designed to maintain its structure, comfort, and understated character over time. It is this focus on precision, consistency, and restraint that defines our approach to craftsmanship.


We do not use the word “premium” lightly. Every material and component must justify its place through durability, performance, and longevity.

PRIMARY FIBREs

Merino Wool

Our extra fine merino wool is sourced from Australian farms certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), ensuring high standards of animal welfare and land management. Spun from ultra-fine fibres for a softer, more refined hand feel, the knit is naturally breathable, temperature regulating, and resistant to odour. It is designed to maintain its shape, comfort, and clean appearance through years of wear.

Combed Cotton

Our combed cotton is crafted from premium long-staple fibres, carefully refined to create a smoother, denser weave with a softer hand feel than ordinary cotton. Breathable, durable, and resistant to pilling, it is designed to maintain its structure, colour, and comfort over time. Produced using environmentally conscious processes and reactive low-impact dyes, the fabric is trusted for its consistent quality, clean finish, and dependable everyday performance.

How to Care for Your Garment

Our combed cotton is designed for everyday wear and long-term durability. Proper care will help preserve its softness, structure, and finish over time.

Cold Machine Wash

Wash inside out on a gentle cold cycle to help preserve softness and colour.

Use Mild Detergent

Avoid bleach, fabric softeners and harsh chemicals.

Air Dry Where Possible

Reshape while damp and dry flat or hang in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight & excessive heat.

Do Not Over Dry

Helps maintain shape, softness and the life of the fabric

Store With Care

Fold and store in a cool dry place. Avoid hanging for long periods.
